Modbus Source Code Library
Type:
Software - Programming
Description:
Triangle MicroWorks (TMW) Source Code Libraries for DNP3, Modbus, and IEC 60870-5 are used by
equipment vendors to cost-effectively implement these industry standard
communication protocols directly in the target hardware. TMW's experience
in developing communication protocol Source Code Libraries can shorten the time required to support these protocols, while allowing your engineers to focus on the company
proprietary aspects of the product. Purchase includes one year of
Maintenance and Enhancement Plan (additional years may be
purchased), which provide support via e-mail, telephone or fax. Support
includes assistance integrating the Source Code Library into your
product as well as assistance troubleshooting any communications
problems that may occur in the field. TMW's Communication Protocol
Software Libraries are delivered in ANSI Standard C Source Code. They
are designed to be both processor and operating system independent. Easy-to-use function based API will allow you to implement multiple
combinations of Source Code Libraries on a single device by
using many common utility files and conserving code space.
Connectivity:
Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP
Features:
Easy installation through "Triangle" Source Code Library to Target Application interface (see Design Details for Implementation and Modbus Technical Details, available on TMW web site); simple configuration for byte-order: most-significant-first (Motorola) or least-significant-first (Intel); extensive, built-in (but removable) diagnostics including a protocol analyzer used to visually decipher protocol messages -- the diagnostic and analyzer strings can be directed to any target system display device, even a serial port or RAM buffer;
records communication protocol errors such as "Unsupported function code", "Data base errors", "Address range errors", "Exception response, FC = xxx, Exception Code = xxx"; no royalty fees per unit sold; typical product integration times are less than 3 weeks.
Specifications:
Conforms to Modbus Application Protocol Specification V1.1; includes technical support for one year (additional years may be purchased); written in ANSI Standard C Source Code, under a strict corporate coding standard; supports any physical communication network including RS 232/485 (for RTU and ASCII), Modbus Plus, and TCP/IP; supports binary data (coils and discrete inputs) and analog data (holding registers and input registers); supports function codes for read, write, and read/write multiple registers.
