Description:
The PDnetIP-Controller PAD-740e is an active PAB1-networking node for the Siemens S7-400. Equipped with an Ethernet 10/100Base T RJ45 connector and optionally with a 100Base-FX MT-RJ connector and the protocols Modbus TCP, RFC-1006 and VDM, the PDnetIP-Controller PAD-740e allows communication with diverse terminal devices. The necessary information for communication is configured by the APEX-Software NetPro in advance and stored in the non-condensing setup memory of the PDnetIP-Controller. Communication between the PAD-740e Controller and SPS is handled via the provided Special Function Blocks (SFB).

The PAD-740e Controller supports ModBus/TCP functions in server- and master-operation and can support up to 32 connections simultaneously; One station (IP-Address) can simultaneously operate several connections to the PDnetIP-Controller and therefore achieves better communication speed.
